Sam is too proud to do this but one call to Pepper Potts and Stark Industries would own that bank in about 3 minutes. Or Pepper would just loan him the money directly. Still, Sam is too proud.

Playing devil’s advocate for the USPS. Perhaps the push for 10% electric comes from limits to the budget. While an electric vehicle may cost as much as an ICE each post office garage will need to be upgraded to handle charging those vehicles overnight. I have no clue on the number of postal garages out there but I’m

I did spinning classes back in 2006 time frame and really enjoyed it. There was a bit of yelling by the instructors that we weren’t pushing hard enough etc. I stepped away from it due to life getting in the way.

I’m new to cats. Got a sibling pair in January. More cat lifehacker stuff please. I’m doing pretty good with them but any obvious advice articles are welcomed.

I’m the greys so my comment won’t even get seen but damn I love my generation (x).  Every comment I’m seeing here from a fellow gen Xer is saying exactly how I feel.  Thanks for letting me know my view of the world isn’t unique.

Just paid off my students loans last May.  Graduated in 2000!

How long would the battery last if the heater is on full blast and the car isn’t moving? Thinking of the scenario of being stuck on a highway for 5+ hours due to a snowstorm.

Just do the NASA solder.  https://makezine.com/2012/02/28/how-to-splice-wire-to-nasa-standards/  Not sure if NASA does it but seems legit strong.

You can still find lead tin solder everywhere including Amazon. I bought a spool to see what the big deal was. It is amazing stuff. I can see why people bitched when non lead was made standard. Everything flows and just does exactly what you want it to.

In modern times I’ve had great experiences buying cars. Ford Dealership in Manchester MO told me to test drive the car for 24 hours. Just bring back the car with the same amount of gas it started with. 6 years later bought another car from the same guy just as easy. Took 24 hours to get the car I wanted as the color I

As pantercougar stated you can’t go faster than the speed of light. However we aren’t exactly at our closest to mars at the moment so you could cut off a bit of time. Still it’s pretty negligible gains.

For me 200 miles and 15 minute charging to 80%. Plus there needs to be enough infrastructure that if I pull off the highway a charger is available. With fillups taking 5 minutes now a single gas pump can handle 12 cars an hour. If it takes 15 minutes for 80% you now need 3 chargers to handle the same throughput.

As for cars being disposable I’m not sure. I currently have a car with nearly 100k miles on it and I’m more than happy with it. What will cause me to leave it will be engine wear. Rings, seals, gaskets, pumps, hoses all eventually will fail and it will be dead in the water. If EVs have a better maintenance life I’ll

My gaming group from my teens and early 20s still play ever Sunday night since 2008. Fantasy Grounds has been our tool of choice the entire time. FG’s support for alternative rule sets like Star Wars, Deadlands, Savage Worlds made the choice for us.

I’m in the grays so my words won’t get much attention and that is fine. First off F these guys.

I believe that there is some inactive components to the vaccine that those who are highly allergic to them could be affected. Inactive components are things added to keep the vaccine safe during shipment etc. https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/09/health/covid-vaccine-allergies-health-workers-uk-intl-gbr/index.html

Excellent article. Thanks for writing it. Stories like these are why I keep coming back to Gizmodo and Jalopnik.

Now playing

Mine wasn’t necessarily scared but freaked me out. I was playing Metal Gear Solid 2 ages ago. Late one night around 2 am I got to the scene where snake was or whoever it was lost his clothes and started hallucinating. Well I thought it was me hallucinating.  After a few minutes of it I turned off the game and turned

After seeing the video of what they do to convert a van I’m surprised it only costs $33k. Short of an engine they replace most of the car.

If Chris Pratt isn’t making his political leanings public then we shouldn’t care what they are. If he wants to use his fame for a bully pulpit to espouse conservative ideology then have a field day on the guy. But until then let a person’s preferences be personal and don’t judge him until he makes them public.
