Did you make it in time?

Instant divorce.

My 2014 Focus has been great. Yeah it needed the Transmission Control Module replaced but Ford covered 100% of the cost and it was fixed in a day. It is on its second clutch as well but that was done at something like 90k miles.

Even worse, it is practically a law that when someone in the car sees the Arch they have to point it out to everyone else in the vehicles.

Lost power 10 hours ahead of time.  A simple call for a tug to bring them into the harbor could have avoided all of this.

I can see it being used on islands that have tourism and seaweed issues.  Power vehicles whose sole purpose is to drive on beaches to pick up seaweed thus making a low cost cleanup process.

Looking forward to my next Maverick costing more than a F-150

My Focus had the interior light thing that changed colors. When a techno / dance club song would come on me or my kids would press the color change button with the beat making our own dance party.  Good times.

The punishment for converter theft should be public beatings. It isn’t the money it is the time. Time to get your car to a shop, time to get the part, time to get it installed, time to get a rental. Those are hours you can’t get back and they took them in minutes.

Some of you may die but eggs were too expensive. Sorry.

Same. My first CVT was a Ford Freestyle (belt type) and while it never gave me an issue I was always scared it would detonate and I’d be stuck with a paperweight. The design / methodology to the Maverick’s / Escape’s transmission is elegant / simple I’m surprised it wasn’t invented sooner. Makes the hundreds of pieces

Interesting read. Now find a report for a local McDonalds or the pool at a national brand hotel.

Same opinion on the Ford Focus. My 2014 Focus lost its transmission control module at 60,000 miles and needed a clutch around 90k. Both were covered by Ford. Beyond that the car has been bullet proof, well until my daughter ripped the bumper cover off by hitting a cop car. But that wasn’t the Focus’ fault.

Definitely weight.  As for temp I’d guess they have metallurgy to determine the best trade off of weight vs temp resistance vs reliability.  The mission on the surface was only supposed to last for two years but was extended.  The design lasted 6X longer than expected, pretty good.

The only AM station I listen to is 1120 KMOX. That is to get St. Louis Cardinals games as their FM presence in the St. Louis area is so low power it fades after 50 miles.  News on KMOX is pretty good too.

Price is firm, no low balls, I know what I’ve got.

With respect to the white work truck they don’t get pulled over because they don’t break the law. Odds are it isn’t their truck but the companies and if they get a ticket while driving it there’s nothing but paperwork and getting ripped a new one by your boss. It doesn’t help that they have a big phone number posted

That jeep is pretty sweet (to some kids in a children’s hospital).

I’m more impressed at the truck getting 13.
