Last year I vacationed in the Turks and Caicos for a weekend.  Flew Southwest.  On the way down I had TSA pre check and flew through security.  On the way back I had the SSSS and had to disassemble my shoes while they swabbed just about everything. I tossed it up to the random number generators...

If you have the $45 Hulu plan for live TV with ads could you score the same discount?

I own this game on PC and Xbox 360.  Probably one of my favorite small games ever.  It’s goofy fun and has a great soundtrack.  It’s worth the pickup on any device you’ve got.

You are about to witness the strength of street knowledge.

Ok I’ll bite. Another hypothetical: Given unlimited money and the laws as they currently exist what would you do? A single person, family or unaccompanied minor crosses into the United States illegally.

Hypothetical: So a high school has controlled access to the building during the day, effectively holding students captive.

I’m a bit late to the discussion but what’s the noise you can hear before the sled thing flys by? At mach 8+ I’d figure you’d hear nothing until that thing was past.  I guess sound travels faster through a solid and we are hearing the tracks but I figure even mach 8+ is faster than that.

My iphone 6s is starting to show signs of age.  At 4 years old and a few batteries later I’d say I’ve gotten my money out of it. I’m looking forward most to wireless charging and water resistance. I will miss the fingerprint scanner though.

This is the only reason why I even remember the Mitsubishi Eclipse. That commercial was everywhere and the song stuck in your head for days.

So where’s the University Living Expansion?  Back in the Sims 2 days that was my favorite.

I have a 15 Focus and have had the same experience. Transmission Control Module failed at 70,000 miles and had the car back a day later, zero cost. Is there some shuddering and what not? Yeah. I found if you drive / accelerate aggressively the transmission works like any other.

Besides the myriad of technical reasons you can daisy chain info pretty easily. My username here is Octantis. Odds are pretty good I use that same username other places. Maybe Facebook or Reddit or some other benign group about knitting sweaters. From that info you can glean a rough location of where I live. Maybe my p

Technically this is a Jezebel article that cross posts on Gizmodo. That being said since Gawker died Gizmodo has taken a pretty hard turn to the left so showing Jez’s stuff isn’t uncommon.

It’s not the time wasted, it’s just that you (random person) hadn’t thought of a donut in a while and now this news story has planted the donut seed in your brain. Tomorrow you will wake up wanting a donut and your life wont be complete until you have one. So on your commute you see a KK donut shop. See a long ass

Friday is also National Chocolate Ice Cream Day

15 minutes? oof. In St. Louis where all the chains are less than 5 years old the line can wrap around the building and you’re through it in less than 5 minutes. There’s a small army of competent workers doing a job amazingly well. Sometimes you’re in a hurry and they meet the need.

As a software engineer at the moment no. If a car maker can’t make an infotainment system that won’t crash no way would I trust them to drive my car for me. All the big auto makers would be wise to purchase self driving systems from companies that know what they are doing rather than create something in house.

Glad to see these pilots just got a slap on the wrist. Was it childish? Yeah.  Waste of tax payer funds? Yeah. But we spent a decent chunk of change training them to fly and to toss it for a sky penis seems wasteful.

So does Union Pacific keep these guys “online” for lack of a better term because it’s good PR / living history? I was wondering if maybe they’re paid by the government to keep a 100% steam engine available in case of EMP attack etc. Sure it’s far fetched and just a few trains plus how fast could you deploy the train
