IMO the left lost because those who espouse it’s greatness come across as smug assholes. The concerns of the left don’t match up with the concerns of people who live in flyover country. High minded ideas such as global warming, universal heath care, and equal rights are at the top of the pyramid of needs.

I’m guessing you live in a high density place or on a coast or something. A 500 mile trip to someone living in the midwest is not unheard of if not common. I live in St. Louis and take weekend trips to Chicago, Memphis, Kansas City maybe 4-5 times a year. Granted most of those trips are 250-300 miles each way but…

I agree that this sounds like bullshit. In the closing weeks of this election everyone has tossed off any semblance of impartiality. St. Louis resident here. Nothing made me happier than the Rams leaving town. The amount of debt the City was going to take on to build a stadium was staggering. Oh and a new stadium wasn’t going to magically make the Rams any good. It would still be an empty stadium even if it was new.
