Omg. I had a similar problem. Small prestigious private high school and colleges only wanted the top percentage, and I was barely in the top half with a B+ (also, we had a seven point scale, so an 85 was a C, but this wasn’t somehow factored in. I got a lot of low 90s scores on tests and that brought my GPa down.
