I was on jeopardy a while back. Alex is kind of an asshat to the contestants and the audience both. The nicest thing that could be said is that he’s probably busy during tapings and is a little peevish.

Listen here Robert Burns, you know why you didn’t think it was funny? Because it was horrible. Terrible. I mean really bad.

Presumably you understand that “last week” and “eight years ago” are two different times when one is remembering?

What facile tripe.

So, we’re both sort of right. An individual, $5000 muni bond is typically interest only until maturity. When a city, water district, stadium finances something with muni bonds, however, they structure the deal so that, when viewed as a whole (i.e. you add up the totals of all the individual $5000 bonds), there is

What does that mean? Virtually all low-income housing comes with federal incentives. You don’t get a discount on building cost, yet you have to keep the rents below market (i.e. affordable). That’s where the incentive comes in.

They can, but the team owners usually won’t sign a lease with such a provision. The municipalities usually want the teams so badly that they cave.

Wrong. A financing comprised of muni bonds usually has amortization every year. It’s not necessarily level payment, like a home mortgage, but there is principal to be paid down every year.

Dear Gawker/Jez writers,

Or you could have just said, “I fucked up this time. Maybe I won’t spout off quite so quickly the next.”

get out of my face with that

Uber gives you the driver’s name and license plate number. It gives the driver your name (presumably the name of the person they’re picking up also?). Unless you’re on a busy, downtown street where a bunch of people have called Ubers at the same time, it’s generally pretty idiot proof.

Uh, your link says $103.80 and not sold by Amazon, which can cause a lot of problems if you need to return it.

My god, do you have to be such an obvious, paid Russian troll. If you were slightly more subtle, you’d be accomplishing your agitprop much more effectively.

This is the point at which I, as an old, am obligated to point out that Mike Nesmith of the Monkees was heir to the White Out “fortune.”

I am old. I remember Chris Economacki.

Right, cause this is all Christians. Just like ISIS is all Muslims.

This is an oldish book, but between it and Tom’s Hardware, it’s pretty hard to go wrong. I’m an idiot, and I and my 10 year old son built a nice PC together in an afternoon (after a couple of weeks of studying and parts acquisition). That was 2 years ago, and we’ve never had a single problem with it; it still performs

I guess they’re sorry somehow, but I wouldn’t count on an apology.

You didn’t read the article, did you? The story isn’t misleading at all.
