I don't really understand the point of "Crystals Have Power" or like it that much. I like "Power Animal" more because while the conflict is dumb and a bit contrived, Jake being generally well-meaning but unfocused is a more established part of his character.

On the other hand, I also watched "Thank You" tonight, which is a cute and wonderful and a fucking delight. Watching it on the same night as "Holly Jolly Secrets" is emotional whiplash of the highest order and hurts my soul!

Holly Jolly Secrets Parts I and II both get an F, because while there were "secrets" the episodes were really neither "holly" nor "jolly," more "incredibly sad" and "painful."
