You aren’t gonna die. Freebirds is magical (I believe we’ve discussed this on Twitter at some point), and their bbq sauce is an elixer of healing. Just order your burrito with bbq sauce (my go to is the Freebird Chicken, Spanish Rice, Monterey Jack Cheese, Pinto Beans, and a metric ass ton of bbq sauce), and you’ll

Thanks, I appreciate the effort. Carmax also gave me a quote in that range. The problem is the MIL is retired and on a fixed income (long story) and my wife and I are crawling out of a financial pit of our own. What we could come up with in cash would get us something in the 7-8 year old range with well north of 100k

Cool article! Now that you’ve become a So Cal resident, you’ll gain an even greater appreciation for the equipment that gets used in firefighting. Haven’t seen anything that large used here, but there’s been a few fires that sure could’ve benefited from that beast.

Not sure if it’s an interference engine, but I’ll look into it. I’m more just curious as to what parts traditionally fail and/or need to be replaced due to age vs wear. Am I going to be looking at more potential maintenance/repair work with a 15 year old car with 75k miles, or a same/similar (Elantra vs Elantra, Civic

I’ve been following your TL high mileage stories closely, and pretty cool to see how solid this TSX turned out. I’d be curious to hear some stories about (relatively) late model cars with extremely low miles, and how parts wear out on a time basis vs. a usage basis. High miles, and the vehicle is being regularly

Bro, do you even Warthog?

The other thing about that Celica, it proudly wears the best license plates ever issued by the state of California. If the DMV ever reissued those, I would be first in line to get ‘em.

I’ve said it before, but goddamn you have a brilliant mind, Torch! THIS MUST HAPPEN!!!

Make Philly wet again!

Shit, that was when Honda offered a manual in pretty much every car they made!

Because apparently electronic wire transfers aren’t good enough anymore, or something, and we want our diplomatic payments to be made in as untraceable manner as possible.

Honeybaked Ham!

All I can think of is this classic thread on Tumblr (or somewhere) from a few years ago.

Yeah, I’ve seen these all over Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I am genuinely thrilled they are coming to the US, and remotely affordable at that! The last Land Cruiser 200 I saw here for less than $40k was a 2009 with 181k miles on it. I almost pulled the trigger.

Great article, and it definitely seems like the Corvette to get. Question, tho. Who did the photography for this article? Puppyknuckles? GF Williams? Whoever shot this article did an out-fucking-standing job on it!

Not a major surprise for a few reasons (some of which have already been discussed).

I’m thinking that’s more of a platypus than a mule...

I’ve said it before, Torch. Your mind is a special kind of awesome!

Haven’t made it thru Porsche or BMW, but I did get to your the Lamborghini factory a few years ago. Audi was fully running the joint and it showed. Very clean, as you said, no oil or random cheap laying around. The only areas that seemed particularly “human” were the interior prep area, where all the leather (seats,
