Eagerly waiting for the first render of this in Gulf livery. Woooooooo!!!
The interior particularly. I wasn't a fan of the exterior of the 1st generation, but it was the 1st gen interior that completely turned me off to the vehicle. This one I would definitely consider, particularly since the ELR is still priced waaaay too high.
There has not been enough want produced in the universe to properly express how much I want this to happen!
Heated and cooled seats are awesome, but having spent more than 2 years in Fort McMurray, Alberta, where all the oily dirt from the tar sands is tracked onto our roads, headlight washers are an absolute necessity, and far too few vehicles have them.
Holy shit! That tunnel run! As they switched to the in-cabin shot, the engine note in the cabin almost sounded like a synthesizer...sounded great and perfect (and ironically totally 80s), but those exterior audio captures...there is nothing like a flat-12. And in response to those who have posted a white Countach, or…
When they were trying to snatch-strap one of the cars up a rocky hill on the Middle East special, it sure looked like May got knocked over by the strap and smacked his head on the rocky ground. I know it's generally staged, but some of those things actually do happen. Either way, loved the special and cannot wait for…
Want! But I now have another thought. I've been contemplating what sort of non-USDM goodies I could legally import (Skylines, Soarers, Pugs, Opels, etc.), but I completely forgot to consider Down Under! Heading to Ebay to search on 1989 Holden and see what crops up!
Raph, we were ALL disappointed in that!
Cannot wait for new episodes! Loved the Patagonia special, but they really need to stop setting May up to be injured (fell off a horse on the Africa special, IIRC, and got knocked over hitting his head on a rock in the Middle East Special). Wasn't up on Streetfire Saturday evening. Tried BBC's main site using Hola…
I agree...the Treg does get noticed and seems to punch above its weight in being a legit competitor to the lux-brand SUVs. Back in 2012 I tested a hemi Grand Cherokee Overland Summit and then a mid-level (forgot the designation) TDI Treg. The wife and I both agreed that the Treg was far superior. Also, comparing model…
Oh I absolutely want to be nowhere near "in between" Tavarish and DeMuro, lol!
The local VW/Audi store gives out VW loaners for Audi service on anything below an RS4/A6/Q7. If the Beetle has steelies, at least it would look decent, lol!
So the X5 is better on reliability...good to know. Even the pre-N55 X5 3.0 models? I've seen a few Touaregs on Carmax, but I don't recall seeing any X5s. Will take some time this afternoon to check. Merry Christmas, Uncle Doug!
Any sense on the Gen 2 (2011-) Touaregs? Actually, between you and Tavarish, I'm getting scared about getting a used German, whether an E70 X5 (pre-2011 facelift), a late C6/early C7 A6, or the Touareg. Obviously, Carmax is the way to go, whichever way I fly. I'd just like to be able to consistently drive whatever I…

Beautiful! Classy, respectful, and meaningful.
Dammit! How about if I paint it brown and get the Skyactiv diesel?
