This is a dumb name for possibly a good course... Talking about an issue shouldn’t be connected with polarization. I get it... And maybe these kids need to be hit over the head with a title for the course... But this isn’t helping.

Don’t worry about STEM classes or anything of that nature.

It sounds like a great course and like many of the courses I have taken in grad school.

So, drop the course and come up with a new one that’s pretty much the same but with a less provocative title, like “Explorations in Race.”
