The Society of Explorers and Adventurers (or SEA) actually has a large cast of characters from across the Disney parks already, including Lord Henry Mystic (owner of Mystic Manor in Hong Kong Disneyland), Harrison Hightower III (owner of the Tokyo DisneySea version of the Tower of Terror), Barnabas T. Bullion (owner

Yeah, that’s completely fair.

Wait, a part of Google Stadia is not working properly because Google mismanaged it?

Thanks for sharing that. I knew bits of it but not in that much detail. It was interesting that a lot of the production staff seemed to share my opinion on what seemed to make the story not work, as my opinion was literally just based off of a brief plot summary that I read on Wikipedia, and they were intimately

Yeah, that’s fair.

Hey, I’m part of the current generation and I love the Muppet Show!

That song sounds like it’s making fun of racism more than supporting it. Yikes, on the Peter Ustinov one. I like that the Muppets made me aware of who he was, though. That man’s background is absolutely fascinating.

Kingdom of the Sun never got past some rough animations and storyboards at the most. There are apparently completely voice acted storyboard reels that they could hypothetically be released, but it was safe to say that the script needed some serious overhauls anyways (something that the director of the film himself

Also, you’re still allowed to watch these. This is literally the opposite of cancel culture. It’s a pretty fair compromise.

Granted, I don’t know the content of the sketch, but it’s possible that it was pulled for copyright reasons rather than moral ones.

Yeah, I was aware of Radcliffe’s alcohol issues, but I consider that a disease more than a moral failing, and he seems to have it under control now, so it’s a mute point anyways.

As somebody who enjoys wearing Hawaiian shirts (something that the far right is trying to adopt as a symbol for reasons that are beyond my comprehension), I completely agree.

And I said that there are problematic elements (and I even listed house elves as big one in a comment below). I’m not denying those elements exist. The books’ overall message is still of tolerance and not treating others who are different from you poorly.

I never said their lives were equal or that there weren’t some problematic issues with the concept (and its arguable whether wizards live better lives or not. Magic has its advantages, but wizards also refuse to use most real life inventions made in the 20th century for reasons the books never really go into, so there

Paradise Lost and Dante’s Divine Comedy are basically Bible fanfictions and are considered high literature. Heck, the Divine Comedy even stars an obvious author self-insert who gets to go around and meet a bunch of cool historical figures and Bible characters. Doesn’t get much more fanficy than that.

I’ve never gotten that reading despite many people claiming it as the books were pretty clear that wizards weren’t “better” than muggles in any way that mattered, and should not “rule over” the muggles, and anybody who believed otherwise was a villain or unsympathetic. They can do one thing that muggles can’t, but

I really don’t want to look.

I get that this is a joke, but canonically this game takes place almost a century before the Death Eaters form. There probably were Pure Blood supremacist groups around though, considering that set of prejudices seemed pretty old.

Female Proud Boys are kind of a thing. Women aren’t allowed to join the main group, but there is an affiliated organization called “The Proud Boys’ Girls” (I wish I was making this up) that has an all female membership.

Being against net neutrality was particularly baffling to me. Supporting net neutrality is generally the one piece of ideological common ground that progressives and Gamergate reactionaries have in common.
