What a great car wrapped in such an ugly exterior design. CP because I’d have to see it before getting in it to drive.

Well I was more referencing the main point of the article. The law in Arkansas, not some hoarder in Michigan. But if he’s able to contain the mess to his property then more power to him. If not, then yes your point stands.

That aside, as a libertarian you have zero issues with the law in question in this article? Seems

I didn’t see it in the article but which one had a higher MPP or Miles Per Pedestrian?

I said it before and I’ll say it again. The Libertarian view you’re looking for on Jalopnik does not exist anymore, that died back in the early days of LeMons racing coverage...

For what it’s worth I agree with you as I tend to highly value my privacy and freedoms above any false ‘safety’ brought on by over-reaching

New lines/designs made specifically for autonomous cars in mind? embedded sensors? Some other form of external communication be it space spaced or other wise?

Exactly as you said. Leave the human visual cues to human drivers. Our entire road system, rules, markings, layouts were made for humans, that includes all the

Apparently it’s still hard to reliably detect stationary objects like that at highways speeds, or so I’ve heard. But that’s just conjecture on my end.

Now playing

Meanwhile I’m unhappy that current semi-autonomous cars rely so heavily on road lines painted by humans for humans.

As this shows what might have happened in the crash:

“I’m not that old, but I’m old enough that my classmates and I started getting our first cell phones in junior high and high school. “

I love a good post that reminds me of how old I am. Thanks but now I have to go remove some youths from my lawn...

Selling my one of 718 Trans Am GTA Notchback. My mullet still weeps to this day over that car.

“Unfortunately, for a lot of for a lot of folks..”

Sometimes I think you intentionally do this just to see if we actually read the articles or go straight to shit posting based off the headline...

Well today I’m doin’ both!

Not massive is a poor benchmark to me. Because they sure ain’t small either.

Looking at the smallest dimension listed for this gens extended cab and previous gen:

yes. exactly this. They might even sell dozens!

Sigh, time to beat the dead horse. I miss small pickup trucks or true Utes in the Aussie style but I know that will never happen (I WILL NEVER FORGET THE BLUE BALLS YOU GAVE ME GM OVER THE G8 ST).

All I’m saying is give me s-10 size trucks again. They would sell at least one.

I happen to like this car quite a bit and if this rumor is true? Hot damn you may convert me into a luxury car buyer yet. RWD would be preferred but I’ll ‘settle’ for the 400hp/AWD model.

Right. See anything with a Hemi and at least the old Merc 5-speed tranny, or newer of course.

Good point. Chrysler still gets blame though. I don’t care who their sugar daddy of the month is, Bain, Diamler, Segio, whatever it’s all the same daddy’s money and bad decision to me.

In defense of Fiat-Chrysler you did buy the worst products they have to offer. I’m not saying they deserve a lot of praise but they do make a couple good cars.

But that would require personal accountability and responsibility... People want someone else to think for them and protect them. Don’t worry they trust Tesla with their life the same as they trust Facebook with their personal data...

All the autonomous car talk on other threads has me pining for the future when theoretically these insurance companies get screwed because self driving cars have significantly less accidents.

I look forward to seeing how society reacts to thousands of less dead people every year coupled with the thousands of lost jobs. Should be an interesting time.
