I’m sorry I don’t care how much horsepower you cram into these things. It will never outrun how ugly I think they look.

RE: MINI

PRICE. Holy o’ fuck those things are expensive let alone optioned up halfway decent. That’s before you compare them to the competition. Feature/performance wise I’m buying a GTI or similar. Price wise I’d probably buy an actual BMW or an Audi.

Don’t get me wrong they’re great little(medium?) cars. But there’s

Ugly or not, at least it was symmetrical. That pleases my monkey brain far more than any quirky good looks the veloster may have.

Funky rear door(s) I can dig. Uneven B pillars? The dude does not abide.

Why can’t you do what the RX-8 did? Funky and good looking.

I know this will lose the popular vote and 345HP is laughable today but in the mid eighties that plus 465 lb. ft of torque and a top speed near 180MPH was no joke.

WTF is this bizarre packaging requirement?

“Limited-Slip Differential on Stinger GT requires Sunset Yellow Exterior Paint.”

Phew CP. I had a beautiful blue G8 GT making 500hp and it was a blast. I loved mine and it’s a great car don’t get me wrong but there’s nothing here that’s worth 50 grand. Hell while we’re at it there’s nothing in these stock that’s worth the typical $35k+ asking price either. Other than the usual irrational bug that

Man, I have an irrational love for 70's Trans Ams, hell who am I kidding, all generations of ‘em.

But let’s be clear this is an average GM car at best with 70's technology put together by workers that were most definitely on more than some light beer. This isn’t even worth the 30k plus other clean examples are going

I know it’s been years but I still slip up and call this place Lowe’s Motor Speedway...

Simple and it goes beyond HD. I barely trust other people when i’m in my car. No way in hell would I trust anyone not to kill me while on nothing more than an engine and a couple wheels.

Sometimes you gotta write ad copy. It’s not a glamorous life but you gotta eat.

No Toyota. Boo. I know that’s not the Forza teams fault but man those cars were always fun to drive and tune and tweak for the low to mid end of these games.

I know I’m strange but I’d rather have Toyotas than Porsches in the game. There’s already enough high end super car style porn going on in these things. I like

Eh it’s more not worrying about things I don’t have control over. I don’t think I’m going to be stopping the tide of automation or anything else relating to the march of progress.

Trust me, if I could there wouldn’t be a stupid illuminated tire pressure light stuck on my dash just because the damn sensor wore out.

That’s just it. We’re all caught in the process. Life to me is a tragic comedy.

I could have been born a starving child in Africa but I wasn’t. I could have been in the path of one of these destructive natural disasters but I wasn’t. I could have been born into a wealthy billionaire family and not wanted for anything

I agree and problem is unless they’ve had a dramatic shift in the last 3 years they still are in the land of crazy-depreciating not quite premium cars with excellent warranties.

Having been in plenty of newer top trim KIAs and Hyundais they still feel a little cheap. Sure they’re better than ever buy they’re still not

I have plenty of empathy. As do the humans that are making this job eliminating automation. As do the people buying and implementing this job eliminating automation. As do the humans that get outsourced jobs.

Efficiency and progress have no soul. If someone or something can do your job better and or cheaper you will

100% this. Automation is only a portion of the equation. Outsourcing has been and is continuing to be a bigger issue everyday. Well at least for us, I suppose if you’re on the other side of the equation things are looking better.

I’m not too worried about the taxi drivers. That’s such a minuscule percentage of jobs (at least according to the bureau of labor, though the data is from 2012 and doesn’t likely count uber/lyfts own people).
