So we’re paying for the fastback? I guess I don’t see 40k-50k in that.

Off the top of my head if I’m gonna buy a 2 ton+ car I’d probably get a 470hp Charger. If I wanted to be a bit weird I’d probably shoot for a Volvo S60/V60 T6 or Polestar. I’m sure there’s more out there that fit the bill.

Phew damn that’s a lot of chedda for not much performance. I hope they’re making up that price in materials and comfort.

Hip young millennials with their hip young blog make a TV show for people who still have cable in a time where cord cutting is becoming the norm....

what...? How cheap was this airtime? like tuesday at 2am local access cheap?

I’m confused by Toyota. They show me all these commercials claiming their new Camry is sporty and super grounded to the ground and it’s hip and cool but then refuse to put anything in a video game even their old cars that actually were all those things...

Doesn’t seem that good to me. If anything It seems like Randy was being forced to be as tame as possible about it. All the numbers posted seem super underwhelming. And I don’t even care about it’s track time (which it barely kept up with the fiata twins...)

Price, weight, power, lateral G’s all very disappointing.

I’m assuming you didn’t care for the old supra everyone loves around here? Because as far as I remember the specs were about the same for it 3400+ LBs and 320 HP.

Firebird > Camaro

Fight me outside my single wide.

I love this idea because that means I should be able to track the location of every police car in my area. Hello next gen radar detector.

I’m 100% fine with people not wearing protective gear as their personal choice. It’s wrong, but it’s their decision.

I don’t think her original instructor was purposely being demeaning. There have been countless studies showing men to be more physically aggressive than women. How that actually transfers to race car driving and whether that’s actually relevant I have no idea.

I really want to like this thing. And maybe seeing it in person will change my mind but the numbers on paper are just underwhelming. $40-50k for 350ish HP in a 3800+ LB car does not overly excite me. But then again I’m probably the wrong customer for this car.

I lost faith the minute someone paid for a Dodge Avenger with their own money. Sure I understand if Avis sticks you in that crap bucket, it’s late and you just want to get the heck out of the airport, but to actually willingly buy such a horrible car without being under duress?

Madness.

Shit, I’ll be 35 real soon... Does anyone have any recommendations on what SUV I need to buy to appease our corporate overlords?

Let me shorten this article for you to the relevant bits.

Top Gun.

End story.

While I would much prefer the Pontiac variant over this, that’s not a bad price for a clean low mileage example. Haters gonna hate but that’s not a lot of coin for some decent speed, assuming that turbo kit is well sorted.

Dang, and here I was getting all excited to have the government back my right to mow down lowly protesters when I see the Krispy Kreme off the next exit has their ‘Hot Now’ sign on.

I think that’s just GM quality control in action. There’s been plenty of cars reported across the various forums that were much faster/slower than the average reported time.

Ergonomics, visibility, and being comfy are all well and good but it still doesn’t stop the 80's square and bulbous air vent assault on my eyes.

Don’t get me wrong I’d still have an 88 GT any day of the week. I’d just never look down while sitting in it.

Only GM could make a car that looks so pretty from the outside and so dog ugly on the inside...

I hope this thing does sell for 40k and prove me wrong but I would be shocked if this is ever worth 40k (or 40k’s future inflation accounted for equivalent).
