I don't know Jack.

It was the one time I've had a close encounter with a celebrity. Kurt Russell was standing in line behind us - it was right around the time that Big Trouble in Little China came out and I loved (and still love) that movie. But I was too nervous to say anything.

And Swatches.

Nope, Captain EO was shown at Disneyland. My dad complained the whole time we waited in line for it.

As a kid, I remember watching a making-of Captain Eo. I didn't know who Francis Ford Coppola was the director. When I was older and becoming more aware of movies and film, I was blown away that the same guy that made Captain Eo made Apocalypse Now and The Godfather.

Glad you can take a joke. But yeah, Mrs. Obscure and myself have watched plenty of Datlines. And as others have mentioned, one of the best things is getting angry an inept law enforcement when they screw things up. Sometimes righteous indignation is good for the soul.

I didn't read the whole article. But Josh Mankiewicz always has this grimace on his face like he's smelling a fart.

It was a wrench shaped like a penis, but basically yeah.

Oh, the guitar work on 'Peaches en Regalia' gets me every time. I seriously almost cry it makes me so happy.

I gotta go with Robert Quine's work on Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend." I know his style isn't for everyone, but man, his work throughout the whole song just adds a bit of a chaotic element to one of the greatest (and probably my favorite) Pop/Rock songs of the past 25 years.

I have the best hopes for this, but shall remain skeptical. I think bringing in some guest stars would be a good idea. Perhaps a Monty Python/Mighty Boosh mash-up. It may not make any thematic sense, but I would like that.

Good to know what album it's on. I'm not even sure the name of the song. It's off to youtube for me right now.

Now I have the Time Bandits score stuck in my head - especially the section that plays while the protagonists take the boat ride on the way to meet Napoleon.
I watched the hell out of the movie as a kid and recently picked up the Anchor Bay DVD in a bargain bin. I was so happy when I watched it and found that it holds

Funny/sad realization - I make roughly 66% of the average viewing family for Bob's Burgers. But it's okay. I'm a teacher and deserve to make less money.

Robert Crumb illustrated a biography of Franz Kafka. It's worth checking out, especially for the illustrations of scenes from 'The Trial' and 'In the Penal Colony'. I was mildly interested in Kafka prior to picking it up, but this bio got me to search out more of his stuff.

Melvins did a great cover as well. It's the second song in this clip. It was a good show.

Throw in Jack Elam.
