I finally watched this show (thank you Amazon Prime) after being nervous it would be too gory for me. Oh, it was intense (especially Mason feeding the dogs) - but what a show. It was one of those pieces of pop culture that I kept thinking to myself, "it can't be as good as everyone says it is," and it was.

I had the same trouble. I managed to watch a couple episodes of HarmonQuest and MBMBAM, and the process was just way too frustrating.

I made the mistake of staying at the Economy Inn, mentioned in the article. Never-ever-ever-ever-ever again. The Clown Motel would've been less creepy.

Can we count the wordless vocals of "Great Gig in the Sky"?

Yeah - original run in the 70's would be my choice - but from the clips I've seen of the Posies-assisted stuff, that would've been just as excellent.

Big Star.

And also, a tin teardrop.

I was just making a reference to an old Oingo Boingo song, but I like your idea much better.

Isn't this what life's all about?

Or, YYZ?

I'm just getting started with the whole running thing. I've lost about 85 pounds since December thanks to bariatric surgery. I know about the stories of people not changing their lifestyle enough after the surgery and they end up putting weight back on, so just the past couple of months, I decided to start jogging -

I need to throw some AC/DC into my mix for jogging (I'm working my way up to running). I turned a corner at the beginning of the year and I've lost a bunch of weight put on from the sedentary lifestyle of my first 40 years.

I've recently taken to jogging in the morniings and "Nothing but Flowers" is my cool-down song. Good picks.

YES! The Bold as Love outro gives me goosebumps every damn time I hear it. I know that he did work that is more mind-blowing, but that outro is just so sublime.

Robert Quine's work on Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend". The song is pop-rock perfection and Quine's psychedelic soloing is just transcendent. I first heard the song (saw the video) back when I was a freshman in high school and each time I hear the song I just feel elated.

I just picked up Stardew Valley (yeah, I'm catching up on gaming). It's a charming little game, that's for sure - a nice break from my playthrough of Fallout 4 (I said I was catching up…).

I'm married and I have two kids. I don't give a flying fuck how cool or not I look. I need to carry my kids' shit around and those stupid pockets are handy for all the Hotwheels my kid insists on bringing everywhere we go.

Have you seen the short video she did for Above Average about staying in a psych ward? I know she's addressed it in her other work, but that video is just so painfully funny (and familiar) for me. It hit some similarities to my own stay.

This really was great, internet. It is indeed quite adorable.
