No mentions of Taco Shack - my personal favorite local chain. Some people think the eggs are too soft but I think their flavor combination for the typical potato-egg-cheese is incredible.

After selling my project daily driver 1st Gen 4runner, my goal is to have my finances well in order by the first quarter of this year to get a project Foxbody. I’ve always wanted one and I have the time and income (for the first time in my life) to build the 400+ horsepower Foxbody of my dreams.

Truck??? Truck truck truck??? Truckbed??!??!?!

I actually got to drive a low mileage example a few months ago, in the most 90s color possible. This car is a trip to say the least, and they haven’t appreciated like other special Corvettes have. I will always love it.

I love that the 62 is hyper-realistic, and the dog is... There too. Seriously that’s badass I love your sketch style.

I answered it once and it didn’t ask again.

Y’all remember the Evo name didn’t exclusively apply to the Lancer, right? Jalopnik has even written about it before. Take a look at this bad mother.

I learned about a month ago that the roads of suburban Cancun and Tulum are almost entirely unpaved. Good thing my Mexican-Market Nissan Kicks was an unstoppable off-road machine. 600 miles over 7 days and only about 40% of it was paved. Potholes and water everywhere. I bet they retired that poor car.

I initially read “basic” to mean “stripped down cool cruiser,” but this is pretty nice too.

I disagree. I think it pays homage to the CLK GT-R. Yes, is reminiscent of the F1 and the new Ford GT in some ways, but it’s differentiated enough to be imaginative. And it’s solidly badass. You know a car is cool when it looks cool in silver.

This is why I am a daily reader.

Why isn’t this called the Z5? Aren’t we growing that nomenclature?

We have an R56 (2013, base) and you honestly forget about the center speedometer. The driver-facing unit has a digital speedometer. I don’t think I’ve ever looked at the stupid one once.

A couple questions:

I’ve actually had an eerily similar experience with my really similar convertible SUV 4Runner.

How do you get started in the industry without a specific journalism background?

Cars are more expensive because there’s more happening behind the scenes... Cars in the mid 70s still didn’t need to have airbags. They were just metal boxes on wheels and an engine. If you want someone to blame, point towards the DoT for requiring all this dumb, expensive, life saving technology.

I literally JUST talked myself out of trading my ‘87 4Runner for a ‘15 Crosstrek Hybrid. Now I don’t know what to think.

I personally prefer the look of a car/truck with both fenders at equal height. If you like it the other way it’s totally personal preference. With the wagon I just think it makes it slightly more aggressive.

I’m in this same boat right now minus the divorce. I HAVE a badass adventure truck (‘87 4Runner) that I thought I would drive everywhere. But I’m planning a trip from Texas to California, and I’m worried about both its reliability over a couple thousand miles, and its gas mileage (currently sitting around 14mpg mixed).
