My assumption was it was symbolic for the priest recognizing how disturbed and damaged Will is. I guess Fuller said in an interview, though, that he was suggesting that there's "something slightly supernatural in Abigail's presence," and that "perhaps Will is genuinely haunted by Abigail."

"The same way you die in the game. Instantly."

I love that the lightning went from 10,000 seats at Expo Hall to 45,000 at the Thunderdome.

Yeah, it was a mistake to make it a direct comparison between the two. Hockey has always been more of a cultural thing in northern states than southern, and Chicago has had a team that was often successful, if not champions, for 90 years.

"We’re either thugs or athletes, but there’s so much more to who we are that falls in between that spectrum.”

You didn't look hard enough.

I've been pretty well of most of my life, and did have a bit of interest in the favela's in Rio after seeing City of God. I'm so thankful I'll never have to live in a situation like that, but it's just such a foreign experience to my whole life.

I was at the game too and saw Ware live on TV. Obviously watching on TV, Ware didn't affect me as much as it would have live. Ware, though it had the shock value thanks to it being a disgusting looking injury, never really had me that worried about whether he'd survive. Happ was genuinely scary. Didn't know where

I was in PE class running (walking) laps outside.  They told everyone to come in early and everyone inside was huddled around a radio in the gym.  Spent a couple hours going class to class just watching the news (even though teachers were specifically told not to turn the TV's on) before they sent us home early.

Exactly what my first thought was. Would have been way too on the nose to do it while Paul Newman is in the process of telling people to support his opponent, though.

I feel like your complaint about about the cast becoming caricatures is just is more just a result of everything staying status quo more than anything else.  Andy was always a caricature of infantile stupidity, and only the story line leading up to him and April being married has really brought him out of that.  Ron

Shout out to Harris in his Phish shirt.

They link to every app they review. I played SSG1 and really enjoyed it and knew I was going to get it as soon as I found out it existed. I mostly came into the article because I knew they'd have a convenient link at the bottom instead of having to go to Google Play and search for it.

If the worst of 2012 was something that was "hamstrung by...overall mediocrity", it must have been a pretty awesome year. Mediocre, by definition, is not the worst.

Are they just constantly spamming their users with surveys? They have so many oddly specific stats. "93% of [their] customers like the game," "30% of our player base we have right now actually played DayZ," "15% of our players never heard of DayZ before they started playing The War Z."

It's probably going to be a good boost for shows I enjoy, like Parks & Recreation, which engage an audience that is largely active on Twitter, but this is soooooo far from addressing the real problems of the Nielsen system like the relatively tiny sample size.

Not to mention they definitely said "that looks like a giant hole," not pole.
