Honestly, the negative stereotypes that are really hurting Romani people are very far removed from associations with black magic. But that does *not* mean a line like "gypsy magic is the blackest kind of magic" is okay under any circumstances.

Best. Representation. Ever.
I guess that it sounded okay in the US where people generally view the Roma as a non-issue, but coming from a country where the Roma are a large minority towards which most of the folks are INCREDIBLY racist… yeah, nope.
I generally think loose ties are sexy as hell, but… I mean, the whole point is looking effortless, when your tie is this loose, it just shows that you cared a lot to arrange it precisely this way and ends up looking stupid.
So am I! I still miss the pixie cut, but yeah, it's definitely getting better.
I think she's just going through that awkward halfway phase of growing your hair longer and they're trying to make do with what they have to work with.
Yes! I didn't even think of Emily/Daniel as a possibility before the last two episodes, but that ship is ready to sail any moment.
But setup for Missy's Queen of Evil joke!

I think that this season in general has handled the kids rather superbly.
Kill the Moon didn't bother itself with making sense in a scientific sort of way, but dealt with themes far better suited for the Doctor than SJA. This one… maybe, but it's still sort of a story for children in the way Cocteau's Beauty and a Beast is.
This description sort of befits NuWho as a whole, I think.
Oh man, can you imagine a Capaldi version of Mr. Clever. Or possibly just an episode featuring him that isn't an oddly paced Amy Pond leftover.
