Yet more proof that AV Club is veering more and more into Jezebel territory.

4. ‘Each pirate gets a ship’ fine, but it’s hard not to be disappointed that you can’t share a ship with your friends when Sea of Thieves exists

Wow...what a really good evaluation of what I couldn’t quite put a finger on aside from a general “meh that sucked” and some ideas why...I mean yeah A LOT of it sucked but it was beyond the simple rushing and dumbing-down the plotlines.  Nice post.

Rami Malek can’t be in everything.

Nail Timberlake for misogyny, lying, cowardice, and disrespecting Prince (or not, sometimes Prince had it coming and there’s a whole aside there regarding his narcissism and possible abuse). All that’s fair. But as someone who grew up black in the South, I’m just going to say...

Her prime? I’m not saying she’s not still relevant, but let’s be real, her prime was 2003. Right now she’s Madonna in her “Music” album era.

This might explain all the name changes.

To  get ahead of speculation: I won’t be in Scream VII either.

greatest fight scenes in the entire history of the Galaxy Far, Far Away”

Are... you saying she should have post-traumatic fear of Asians now? The hell? The characters looked nothing alike.

Yeah, I would agree. I mean, I don’t love the idea that he apparently (from her perspective; I don’t doubt her, but it’s important to at least note this is just her perception of it) put that much pressure on her to do so, but they were both like 20 at the time, so I also 100% understand why he would think NEITHER of

Tell me what you think he did wrong here.

Yeah, I think supporting a woman’s right to choose does not require us to think that the man in the relationship must withhold all views about whether to terminate the pregnancy. The ultimate choice should be (and apparently was) Spears’, but Timberlake is another person the choice would have a dramatic effect on, and

I don’t think she’s bad, but I don’t know why she is a mega super star. She sounds fine, and like a bunch of other people.

AI would have gotten that right.

It’s being celebrated as a film for womanhood because it’s a film that celebrates womanhood.

What? All that was telegraphed for years. The problem wasn’t where it ended up, but that after they ran out of books to follow D&D sprinted to that ending with bad writing, no pacing, and nothing more than the most trite character development.

Kind of strange how hostile this site is to the showrunners of a show we obsessively watched and enjoyed for years. Like, the end of the Godfather trilogy sucked too, but we don’t say, “Oh god, who ever wants to hear from that loser Francis Ford Coppola again!”

The AV Club is making cracks about something starting strong but ultimately turning into a pile of shit? Welp, that’s enough irony for today.
