Whedon’s comic book background and general status as a cult geek god made him the perfect director for this film, and it’s highlighted in the New York sequence. He completely and thoroughly understands these characters, what they bring to the table, and the roles they serve, and he places them exactly where they

Yup, Season 7 desperately needed the full ten episode order. Too many instances of characters teleporting from one place to another, major developments and encounters rushed through, and just a general sense of stuffing way too much into such a short amount of time.

“Hardhome” remains my favorite episode of the series. Not only does it deliver the long-awaited Tyrion and Dany meeting (something yet to be seen in the books), it also stages the single best climactic action sequence of the entire show.

I friggin hate this nanotech nonsense now where the suit isn’t even a physical thing he has to put on anymore. He can basically grow and do whatever he wants like it’s some alien shit.

Bravo on this series, Tom. It’s been a weekly highlight for me. Man, I can’t wait for the next one.

Look I hate to be that guy, and I know this is a very sensitive subject, but I have to ask the question:

I find it a tad lame that LeBron, a Jordan obsessive desperate to control the narrative of his own legacy, is making a sequel to his idol’s movie as a means of solidifying his own perceived ascension past the Jordan throne.

It seems pretty clear that this movie is going to be a swan song of sorts for the OG crew, so it makes sense that they’d be the ones leftover to set things right.

Bruh, NSFW tag please.

Maybe I’m missing something, but....like....why did the defender not do *anything*?

Modern Warfare was not the Russos. That was Justin Lin.

Why do people keep saying this? Carol is probably going to play merely a supporting role in this film. It’s not about her. It’s a sendoff for the original Avengers.

He’s not so much “playing for the Jets” as he’s just wearing their uniform once a week in exchange for a healthy direct deposit.

The First Avenger is the best origin movie they’ve made.

from now until Anthony Davis shows up.

They weren’t 6.5 games back of the 8 seed when he got back. They’ve fallen further behind *with* him on the floor and active ever since.

I’ve felt all along that Boden and Fleck were a really underwhelming choice to helm a movie like this. Hardly any of this stuff is in their wheelhouse. And most of the reviews (while largely positive) have only confirmed my suspicions: they were hired to shoot the talky scenes and bring humanity to it, but every
