My biggest beef with Griffin (and the issue plaguing the Cavs most right now) is the 4-5 year deals he handed JR, Shumpert, and Thompson. Committing that many years and a combined $179 million to a group of players who aren’t high ceiling contributors offers you no flexibility to make significant roster changes

one ill-timed Lebron injury

Yeah, no one is “avoiding LeBron” just so that they can go get annihilated by the Warriors/Spurs. The truth is: these East GMs are just being fucking stupid.

Let’s go over to—where’s Dan Gilbert? Come here, Dan. Come here, Dan. You want eh, uh, come over here. You want a good baseball player to play basketball? So Dan owns the Cavaliers, and I would say, I guess you can’t say great season, right? Good season. Last year was a great season, right? Anyway.

As do I. They were gonna lose Paul regardless, and ended up getting two useful players, something called a Dekker, and a 1st round pick out of it.

How fucking boring would this be? Let’s just keep giving LeBron all the All-Stars and watch them coast their way through the regular season and breeze on in to the Finals every. single. season.

It honestly appears like no one else in the East is even trying to compete. This is beyond aggravating.

I haven’t watched a baseball game in ten years.

Moreover, even if you try to “build for the future”, you’re ignoring the possibility that ANOTHER god-tier team might develop somewhere else. This is the NBA. There’s always another crazy dynasty team just around the corner. If you have the pieces to build something now, then dammit, BUILD SOMETHING NOW.

More than any other team, yeah. They took a crack at them. Kyle Lowry missing half the series was unfortunate.

None of these teams could beat the Cavs because none of these have seemingly even TRIED to beat the Cavs. Cleveland is spending out the ass for their roster, constantly trying to add pieces, and no one else seems as interested in being as aggressive.

Frank Isola reported citing a league source that LeBron was pushing for a Melo-for-Love trade. A trade that seemingly never came close to happening, that LeBron himself called trash.

But that’s kind of my point. A lot of the information and insight that gets reported does, in fact, turn out to be real. Of course. But there’s also a metric shit ton of it that’s just straight up misinformation or fabrication for clicks.

Honestly, when you talk about “Fake News”, I think that term applies far more to the sports world than anywhere else.

You think about when free agency comes around every year, there are so many damn insiders and bloggers with all their random “sources telling us this and that”, and 95% of it turns out to be complete

Great Tastin’ Belgian Waffles?

Greg Rucka did a really good run on Fearless Maine Woman back in ‘09.

I completely forgot about Kevin White.

So wait, Spidey has an Oracle now? I’m.....not a fan of that.

There was never really a point in the second half of Game 5 when it seemed reasonable to believe that Cleveland could win

Can’t wait for the Paragon/Renegade domestic violence scene. The choice is yours!
