I think it is perfectly fine for people to say that fouling intentionally is playing to win within the rules.

And it is perfectly for me to say I think it is disgraceful and something that should be penalized harsher because it makes me want to watch the sport less. (same as soccer divers)

Delays are good for video games on average. A delay means they actually give a non-zero amount of fucks about quality. As long as they don’t go full Duke Nukem on delays, I’m fine with it.

“Teaching”? Do you mean “Being a college professor”? Because any US teaching level below college-level is paid very poorly. The average salary in the US for a High School Computer Science teacher is less than $56k annually... contrast to the average computer programmer salary of $82k. Gee, wonder why there are no good

“The layoffs were largest in non-development departments like IT and QA”

I hate that QA is somehow considered separate from development, in my opinion they go hand in hand. Anytime QA is unavailable, tons of development time gets squandered trying to track down and repro the bugs yourself. Removing QA is removing

Nintendo is all about ignoring plot and story when it gets in the way of gameplay.

My best guess is that they wanted to add Peach, but then they realized it felt wrong to have Peach and not have her be able to hover. But making her able to hover made her too much better than the other characters. And so someone went

Wow, the little interest I had in this card game just vanished completely.

Fascinating.

The man is responsible.

The company is also responsible.

Responsibility shared is not responsibility diminished. Something can be the fault of multiple people at once.

If you want streams that have a positive chat experience, you need to find good streamers with low viewcounts. Ideally less than 100 viewers.

At that level, moderation is possible, and trolls tend to not like them as much anyway as they’d rather troll larger amounts of people at once.

It’s a video game that comes with pieces of cardboard.

Being taught anything useful in high school chemistry sounds like something out of a sci-fi novel. “Bases dissolve fats” is the sort of thing I only learned when I was an adult, and only thanks to the internet.

According to a comment from the author on the youtube video:

If they speak up, they’re called oversensitive and harassed more.
If someone else speaks up, they get called “white knights” and are harassed.
If noone speaks up, nothing changes.

The “always go right” strategy only works when both the exits are on the outside edge of the maze and the maze is two-dimensional. These mazes are mostly two-dimensional, but the “exit” is in the center of the mazes, at which point it’s easy to make a design where the “always go right” strategy will not work, and

4096 is a power of two, so it’s probably a programming error of some kind... (or a marketing stunt and that’s the most steam’s API allows)

The most achievements I’ve seen legitimately in a game is in Tales of Maj’eyal, which has 1638 achievements. (each achievement exists 9 times, one for the exploration mode version,

Weird diet “X” actually works!

Yes, of course it does. All of them do. If you count calories, it doesn’t matter if the diet is based around carb-cutting, inconsistent eating habits, or even juggling the food as you eat it, it’ll work.

Counting overall calories will make a diet work, and any weirdness is just a

The commandment is to “Love your neighbor as yourself”, indeed. And how does the Bible say one should love yourself?

“If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you

Heck, the opposing team could have auto-won with a ton of trivial ways:

1) Having any single pokemon on the team that had Flying, Poison, or Steel as one of its types (all of which are immune to Toxic Spikes)

I’ve never been proud to be an American... this is exactly what I’ve grown to expect from us. Worst part is that its starting to look as if this was caused by people voting for third parties again... our people suck, our voting system sucks, everything about this country sucks.

Seeing as they erase levels if noone has beaten them after a certain amount of time... he’s doomed.

This does seem to occur, but only on very large scale. I’ve never seen a rock or fire pokemon living in eastern Texas (and I’m level 10, so I’ve seen a good deal of pokemon, mostly flying, bugs, and grass), but I have family up in Wyoming who get Geodudes and fire pokemon pretty much non-stop. (They’re in mountains
