Saw Captain Marvel yesterday (and really rather liked it!), and the Lee cameo was indeed very touching.

Captain Marvel also opened with images of Stan where MCU movies usually puts scenes of other heroes from various MCU movies. It got the biggest cheer in the theatre. The second biggest was for Coulson (he’s in the trailer so no spoiler there).

(I like Puck from Alpha Flight)

I think you’re confused. The Stan Lee you see in the Captain Marvel movie is Earth-199999 reading the Earth-199999 version of the Mall Rats script.

The Stan Lee who acted in the Captain Marvel movie is the Stan Lee from Earth-1218 who appeared in the Earth-1218 version of Mall Rats.

I think de-aging requires a lot of scans of the actor’s face that would have been much more taxing on Stan than his quick cameos,  which could be filmed in an afternoon.

He is tremendous. One of my few and minor nitpicks with The Good Place is that they went really fast past the possibility that Tahani might have a thing for Chidi, as well as “real Eleanor” (Tiya Sircar). He was very interesting with both of them too.

The Good Place is fantastic television. Chidi ArianaGrande (nailed it!) is so earnest and hysterical all at the same time.  His reactions during the real life train paradox were so good I had to keep pausing the show until I stopped laughing.

You’re just playing the odds with that; everything’s shot in Vancouver.

Whoa, this comment section sure seems to hate Obama a lot for just putting out his own list. Has this article already been crossposted someplace? The only good reason for the dislike is that he completely ignored “Party for One” by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Okay, I’ll bite.

He would have just pardoned himself, right? Because the President can totally pardon himself, right? Like, you could have the most corrupt president in history, and he could fill his cabinet with crooks and liars, and maintain secret business relationships with a hostile foreign power that may or may not have used

You know, a few weeks ago I was pondering possible solutions to the time loop, and thought to myself that two obvious ‘acceptable’ ways out are supernatural intervention and/or another time traveller, the convergence of which very briefly made me consider, and then laugh off, the possibility of a Doctor Strange cameo.

Who’s to say they didn’t try? The stuff happening in New York was over with pretty quickly, something like 20 minutes. Spiderman got there by web-slinging, but the Defenders would have to take a cab.

It’s too unlikely to be believable. After this week’s episode made it clear that Infinity War is definitely happening in SHIELD, I think that at least a few main cast members will be dusted.

I’m as much a superhero story veteran as most anybody here, and I was fully invested in that ending despite any metatextual understanding of where this will end up.

THAT WAS TIM ROTH!???!??

I really think you are seeing racism where there is none. The real reason the rebooted ending sucks is that it ignores the very point of the title (and the original story). The story is titled "I Am Legend" because the hero finds out at the end that the monsters he has been fighting for were actually intelligent and

Damn you, I actually kind of like this movie... and I'm not sure why.

Lost in Space anyone? It would fit perfectly into the list. Awful.

The only thing the Planet remake has to recommend it is Tim Roth as General Chimpanzee and that awesome armor he wears. Roth's performance is the kind of indulgent, scenery chewing villainy that is fun enough in it's own right, more so when presented through layers of really good monkey make-up.
