I am going to reply to myself because this new commenting system is shit, and I don't have the time to reply to everyone individually.
I understand why people are upset about my comment. With that said, I stand by my comment and I find that people's visceral reaction to be both sad and offensive myself. But thanks for explaining anyway.
You can't take the first sentence and ignore everything else I said.
Did you actually read my comment? If so, try again, because you didn't get it.
Which is precisely why I gave 2 opinions.
Again, you're making the assumption that the vehicle even belongs to them for them to sell, or that they could afford to sell it and perhaps alienate their ability to get to and from work or whatever.
So what?
The amount of ignorance in this comment blows my mind. Seriously... I am flabbergasted.
So now we're just going to discriminate against them based on age?
That's a stupid assumption. You don't know their situation... having access to a vehicle does not imply anything.
What an enchanted life we live when we can't understand how this might not be possible for some people.
Are you being serious?
Back in the days of basic survival mode, there were a lot of other options... like being able to go out into the woods and kill animals for food. Or find a plot of land and start farming on it.
If you were on the streets and were about to die from starvation, or your family was about to die from starvation, and someone's pet chicken/pet turkey/pet pig/etc. was accessible, do you not think it would cross your mind to eat it to save your own life? In fact, if you were really in a bind and desperate, I think…
Did I say they were entitled to anything?
