Me too. The show came out right around the time I was in the middle of high school. I didn't really have a strict position on the subject at the time, but knew that my mother had hit me, and my friend's parents had hit them, so that was just the way one should parent.

I find it interesting that we gripe and complain about how everyone in advertising is skinny, photo-shopped and "unreal" ideals of the human form. We FINALLY get a representation of someone who is overweight, and it causes controversy.

What I find annoying is new parents who suddenly lose their personal identity as soon as they have kids. Their profile pic is of their kids, you ask them how they are and they reply with an update on baby, and some will even stop making comments about themselves, but about their child.
