What is wrong about slow dancing? 1. It is not inherently sexual. I have danced with my Grandfather. Is that wrong? 2. What if she was a dance teacher? Would it still be 'wrong'?

Why is this poor judgement, and why was this wrong? I need an explanation, not a blanket statement.

I think the fact that we punish teachers/coaches/anyone working with children for developing meaningful relationships with kids is just plain sad. Yes, there are people who have done terrible things, but there are a lot of well-meaning people who would simply like to enrich these kids lives!

Why? What else is a teacher supposed to do other than encourage their students to do better? He wanted someone to go to prom with, and she took that as an opportunity to 1. help him improve his grades, and 2. give him some company at his prom. I think it was an excellent thing to do!

I am not as old as you, but I am an older student returned to school as well, and I too get so frustrated with the younger students. ESPECIALLY the kids who like to chat during class, or want to sit there and make fun of other people. Seriously? Ugh.

Excellent point. It also begs the question of why we are so against men having healthy relationships with young girls. If a male teacher has a positive relationship with his young female student, it is cause for suspicion. If a father likes to particularly dote on his daughter, we'll often keep a close eye on him.
