Hahaha! That's a good point. What's the difference?

Do the rules specify that they are applicable to women, but not men? For example, the clothing rules - does it say "women should wear blah blah blah" and not clarify that men are not allowed to wear similar things?

Plenty of studies have confirmed that people who live next to freeways, factories and even power stations and power lines are more likely to experience health problems. Sadly, this usually translates to people of low socio-economic status.

I find it beyond frustrating that there is a belief that women simply aren't capable of making decisions about their bodies, period.

Would a tubal removal require hormone replacement therapy? I thought that it would only be necessary if the ovaries were removed.

What a powerful story. It can be hard to realize that what you say to yourself or to others around you, when those little ears are listening, they may internalize it and apply it to themselves. Thank you for sharing!

It's a sad day when we have contaminated our natural water so badly that we can't even enjoy it without fear of getting life-threatening diseases. :(

I am so tired of a woman's value being directly related to how attractive she is. That wearing makeup and making herself 'attractive' is somehow indicative of how much she values herself, or how respectful she is of her job or others around her. When women don't wear makeup, they "just don't care anymore", or are

Good sleuthing.

This is an honest question... do institutions actually enforce the "no-eating/drinking" zones to parent's feeding their infants? I mean, if she had pulled out some formula and was feeding the baby with a spoon, would she have gotten the same reaction?

There have been a lot of studies that look into this. Adopted children, children who are raised by single fathers, or other extended relatives, neglected children, etc..

?

Why isn't anything I post showing up!??!

There is something to be said about elements of attachment parenting. Babies are not logical, reasoning creatures, and consequently, are operating solely on instinct and need. If an infant cries, it's not trying to 'manipulate' you, it's trying to convey a message that it needs something. Catering to those needs in

I have to agree that "childless" makes it sound so pathetic and sad. They are 'less' something that they should otherwise have. :(

What you just said illustrates the problem that women without children are trying to point to. There is this assumption that these old barren women are childless because it "just happens". That they would have otherwise had children if they were given the opportunity, but the stars didn't align, or they are just

Agreed!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because you don't deem a person to be beautiful does not mean they aren't attractive to someone else.
