It’s not settling, it’s choosing the better option for me. The difference in visuals is almost negligible to me, so the extra effort would effectively worsen my experience. I’m choosing the better, more refined experience for my tastes. Enjoy your game your way, though! Not trying to dissuade you.

I really would like to credit the designers for showing initiative, but this is probably because of that the mission in the base game where some masked guy asks you to find his “treasures” in a pond. It took real patience and a glass of scotch to find that thing.
