They didn't say Japan, but rather just "Asia". But I guess due to Mikasa's name it's obvious she's Japanese.

The first volume of the BluRay is already coming out this month though... So for them to pull a FMA:BH seen rather unlikely at this point. But still, if they're gonna do it, it will be in the distant future, as the manga is still on-going.

Yeah. The first volume of the BluRay is also coming this month, along with the 2nd arc next week. So it's understandable due to the shortage of manpower, why they will make this week's episode a recap.

No probs. But you should tell your friends that this series isn't a full fledge action series, and tell them to think of it as Fullmetal Alchemist, which has a little bit of everything. And that it's based very closely on a on-going manga series, so it's understandable to why they would want to drag things out a bit,

Not really, only a tiny percent of all the talking so far are fillers, or just repeat of what they already said, to drag the episode out longer by a few minutes. Other then that, it's all part of the manga and is character, plot or world development related. Which is why I think people are over reacting and hating

Supposedly the last place, at least to what the people who live in there thinks. Saying any more will be manga spoilers :P

Well let me talk about what's been already been revealed in the anime. In ep6 of Mikasa's flashback, there's mention of Asia existing, and that Mikasa and her mum are the only ones to escape into the walls, which is presumably reside somewhere in Europe.

You mean Advancing Titans? That's just what some of the fan-sub/scanlation groups went with, nothing official.

Yeah, just can't satisfy them all :/ And I too wanted AoT to be perfect, as the manga is one of my top 50s. I think the episodes were still ok to me(aka. enjoyable), might be cause the awesome soundtrack and background art helped :) Oh well to each his own. As we can only wait and see at this point... With that I bid

I agree with you, but I would like to point out that, AoT is set in a alternate universe, not ours.

AoT's first season isn't ending on ep13...there will be 25 eps total of the first season, it's just the first arc that's ending :)

    This.

    Indeed.

Why not just read the manga? XD

Not when they're in a panic situation, which is exactly what was happening there at the time, and with Armin the only one being calm.

That's because that part follows what happened in the manga, and is what happened in the manga too. There really is just a lot of dialogues in this series.

I think I know why. They already planned ep13 to be the end of the first arc. But because in the manga there were action scenes that took up almost a whole chapter. Now obviously when animated, that can be done in under 5minutes, so if they adapt 2 chapters into 1 episode if unedited, took up 15minutes. So what are
