I think you should say a complete removal, rather then not removing any of it at all. Since for example the Franz guy in ep6, who's bottom half got bitten off, was horribly censored and confused a lot of ppl who has never seen that scene before in the manga. And end of ep8, where titan eren is fighting the other…

It's because the anime's rating isn't 18+. So they have to censor pretty much all of it.
AoT isn't published in any of the Jump magazines, and it is also borderline Seinen, not pure Shounen.
