Well, he’s clearly an ass, and we know why he doesn’t want D.C. to become a state, but the “wouldn’t have a capital city” is an interesting argument.

This much I can guarantee: Should DC and Puerto Rico gain statehood, every Trumper, Teabagger, anarchist and white supremacist will show their asses in ways we never could imagine.

The only reason the GOP doesn’t want DC as a state is because they vote overwhelmingly democrat, which means 2 more democratic senators getting in the way of their agenda. The same goes for Puerto Rico.

For context, Wyoming has less people than the Toledo metro area. If everyone has an issue with DC becoming a state there is a simple solution...subsume states into each other until they have equivalent populations.
