She sounds completely insufferable. And for someone bright enough to get into Columbia, she’s an idiot to think her actions wouldn’t result in an all-out missing person’s search.

This young woman’s mother is a hell of a lot more understanding than I would be is my take away from all this. Everyone else in this story sounds like a jerk, frankly.

Seems more like typical youthful selfishness and navel gazing.
