The thing described in this article is not that bad. But the stuff he did on the set of Suicide Squad? Not only were they disgusting, but they had nothing to do with the Joker. What the hell kind of horrible Elseworld story did Leto read to think that sending used condoms to people is something the Joker would do?

Mostly, I think it’s just that Suicide Squad was the first time we’d seen this level of method acting dickery in a sci-fi/fantasy big budget movie. It doesn’t help that it was attached to a portrayal of the Joker that many didn’t like.
