Perhaps it's another shading of the theme of women being complicit in the subjugation of other women. Luke is the married one and should bear the most responsibility, but June was contributing to the betrayal of another woman and seemingly not feeling very bad about it. That parallels the power structure of Gilead -

I was thinking the same thing about the train scene. Why wouldn't June and/or Moira say that they are together? Obviously they walked the whole way there as an Aunt/Handmaid pair and it was not suspicious.

The wives outfits (in the show) are a teal color, so a deep blue-green. The Martha's outfits are reading like a minty light green. I'm sure this varies a bit from TV to TV, but I think the colors the designer chose are not as clear cut as the book necessarily describes.
