Trust me dark skin, on black women will NEVER be a "trend" in America. We will continue to receive back handed compliments, "you're cute for a dark girl" and told maybe we should do something (like straighten) with our hair.

I think it's because they cannot imagine that an American would want to live anywhere but America. It's drilled into our heads that America is the GREATEST country in the world.

I don't know the stats regarding weight. Yes, the women are not as heavy here but don't think that's the main difference. It's more about attitude. I just find it so odd! I know that menopause could impact one's sex drive but I cannot see myself not having sex after fifty. If I live to eighty, that means thirty years without sex? Oh hells no.

I'm an American living in Italy. I also have French citizenship. There is a HUGE difference in the way women over over 40 are treated between the two countries. Yes, these are generalizations and yes my POV might be tainted by living in L.A. for 10 years.
