Seconded.

This is mind-boggling to me - are everyday people really supposed to think about all these things and weigh everything and calculate their nutrients and stuff? That’s a full time job, eating shouldn’t be this complicated.

I’ve been to Paris and have since had a daughter. For me, travelling does not even compare to having kids - which is why I chose to have them. That does not mean that it’s the same for everyone or even to most people. I just want to say that I believe people when they say they prefer travelling/having a dog/being

Washing machines and driers are always in the bathroom throughout Central Europe, except when there is a dedicated laundry room. Laundry in the kitchen is more of a British/Spanish thing, I think.

Not really, the drier usually goes in the bathroom in most of Europe when there is no laundry room.

And yet NOBODY was surprised that he’s not really staying dead. Why did they go to all this trouble?!

Congratulations! I wish you a pleasant pregnancy and all the best to the baby :D

TBH I really miss that time; I read the books as they were published, all from the first one, and I really disliked it once they became popular. Still do.

I disagree. The show stopped being good once the changes the show made from the books caught up with the story. That doesn’t mean the show should have followed the book in every detail - if that were even possible the result would be equally bad or worse, because different media etc. But for as long as the show leaned

Croatia is missing, even if Iceland isn’t.

It actually goes both ways; I’ve been trying to deal with this for a long time and am doing well, but I still find it a bit painful that my husband is better at keeping house than I am because we’ve had this gender work division ingrained so deep. To be honest, my resentment is getting more and more manageable because

I had an argument about this with my husband just a few days ago; we’re both around 30 and I was insisting that he should find younger women more attractive than women his age because biology or maybe I’m just brainwashed. So, there’s at least one man that agrees with you, was my point :)

This was a fascinating read - thank you!

Well, you don’t have the right to amazing medical care in socialism, either :) But you do have the right to get the same level of medical care you would get in any other hospital in the country, which is something. People still sometimes (rarely, because it’s expensive) go abroad to have procedures you cannot have

Yes, I understand that. What I don’t understand is what right the Catholic church has to play capitalism. I’m not against Church property, but I’m strongly against using this capital for anything but religion and charity. I can see the connection between healthcare and charity, obviously, but it definitely doesn’t

I’m a Catholic and I cannot understand how such a thing as a Catholic (or any other organization) hospital can even exist. It’s WRONG. Hospitals should be public and state-controlled and as equal as possible across the whole country :/ Otherwise where do you go if you’re anything but a Catholic that also happens to

I’m glad you were able to do what you felt was right. I wish you didn’t have to take that decision, but I’m happy others made it as painless as possible for you!

This is timely. My 21-month-old definitely does not say hundreds of words; she says 5 and she doesn’t even pronounce those clearly. We are a bilingual household + we use English quite often, too, so I get that it might me more confusing for her, but still...

Oh... I understood your first comment to mean all skin not covered by clothing throughout the day. I kinda agreed with that. But if it’s been under a T-shirt all day then scrubbing is really unnecessary and damaging IMO.

Would you mind directing me to the comment that points out Djohan could not possibly be Muslim? I cannot find it anywhere and I’m pretty sure both Latif and Djohan are very likely surnames most often associated with Muslim societies.
