It’s vital to remember that the “Western culture” they’re talking about wouldn’t be recognizable to anyone who has lived at any point in history except for in the United States in the last 50 years.

At the moment, any impeachment trial in the Senate will be given “Kavanaugh rules.” That is, there will be no witnesses or evidence. Each side will get 30 or so minutes to grandstand, followed either immediately or a few days later with a party-line vote.

I don’t think there’s anything that would induce the Senate GOP to impeach Trump beyond his climbing out of a Trump Suit and revealing that he’s actually been Obama in disguise all this time.
