Well right, it's really Lucy who quite obviously knows. And Simon could very well have been clued in because he has no problem whatsoever following her plan. Keeping us entirely in the dark robs the scene of its power. That's all I'm saying. Without having any clue what's happening, I couldn't get invested.

But here's the thing: I didn't really mind it until now. It only presents a problem, at least for me, in this episode when we get to that big climax it has been building to. The power of that climax relies on knowing what the stakes are. And we don't even have an inkling. Neither does anybody in the show.

Yet the dead very clearly feel they need to gather the rest of the dead with them. And they go somewhere. But apparently it's not important to fill us in on any of those details.

Ugh, I'm sorry but yea, I'm going to be one of those people. It not only refuses to offer any easy answers - it refuses to offer anything at all. And I found that detrimental to what they were attempting at the end there. The entire final scene, while beautifully shot, lacked any impact for me because we have no idea

If that is indeed what goes down, it'll be interesting to see how they arrive there and depict Patty making the decision to do this again. Because they've gone out of their way to show how massively guilty she feels about the first attempt.

Perhaps the final two episodes will chronicle conservative outrage at this potential appointment. At that point it can morph into a Newsroom-Damages crossover where Patty teams with Will McAvoy to put everyone in their place.

It's true that the episode was kind of all over the place but still loved it simply because I'm a sucker for anything season one related and this was loaded with callbacks. I also found myself thinking about the flashback possibilities if Aldredge hadn't passed away, though it was still pretty cool to even get that
