Seriously? Do you remember US history at all? It’s a libertarian love letter. I’m not even arguing for or against libertarianism (like anything else, it’s complicated). I would argue that the US of legend is a libertarian country. For chrissake, the man who wrote the Declaration of Independence was a libertarian.

Seems to me libertarianism is about as American as it gets. Socially inclusive yet wanting freedom from overbearing government. Problem is, few people know what the Libertarian Party is about and think it’s some sort of anarchist Republican spin off

Yeah just comments you hate. Big difference.

The easy way around that regulation is to employ subcontractors for those lowest paid jobs. That way your lowest employee is actually an executive - everyone else is outsourced!

Why does what’s left of Gawker media need to rely on writing negative stories about people all the time? Page views? Are they Perez Hilton now? or TMZ?

Univision is Congress?

A business not wanting to invest in an area of zero profit and increased government regulation?!

Yeah, seriously. To price gouge people and deny them the affordable, life-saving internet they need is heartbreaking.

Events like the NFL are live, or within a minute of actually happening. The Olympics were not broadcast live. All of it was packaged and edited before we (in the US) watched it.

This. Trying to find the event you wanted on the schedule was a nightmare. Plus most of the time the broadcast or stream was really late and the winners were announced on Twitter before the broadcasts even started.

NBC doesn’t create the product, though. They just package it, so to speak. Blame the IOC. This year’s games were less enjoyable for multiple reasons. The incredible shitstorm of Rio’s unbuilt infrastructure, zika, and oceans of actual shit caused some of the best athletes to stay home. One of the more competitive

If they’re going to shove a shitload of advertisements and product placement down my throat then yes, they damn well better not be charging me for it too.
But they are, and they would be, so, I didn’t watch any of it. At all.

What if your wife is sick to the point she's bed ridden. Take your studies and opinions and keep them in your asses.

It just seems a bit odd to have this idea that someone couldn’t be both a geek and gun owner. I’ve ran into plenty of people who were both sci fi geeks and gun geeks. So someone being able to answer questions about safety with real guns to geeks looking to potentially buy a real gun doesn’t seem like such a horrible

I believe I’ve heard before that it’s easy for people to fear what they don’t understand, which is why we like to include diversity in schools, places of employment, etc. Exposing people to new ideas to reduce their fear and ignorance is the goal.

How is promoting “gun and safety classes” cause for alarm? Hollywood mythologizes guns to the point where many onscreen depictions are inaccurate. If someone picks up a gun, thinking it works the way it does in movies, someone is going to get hurt. It might be them, it might be someone else, but someone will be

I thought that was covered pretty well in Se7en....

With each iteration of Bourne Movies that they make has more and more blurry, shitty, fight scenes. Those are the different fight styles they used, obscured unidentifiable non-knowing how to fucking film a fight scene shit.

I believe he is saying that the focus should not be on breaking communications, but rather cutting off ISIS’s source of funding.

Shit, I’d love to see Hillary answer that too.
