Oh man I should watch Starship Troopers. It came out in what, 1998? At the time, I just thought the space sci-fi stuff was neat. But it also satirizes militarism and fascism, so it’s surprisingly deeper than “killing bugs”
ME as a series had some great NPCs. Garrus is tops, but Mordin was fun to talk to. I liked Joker. Jack was complex. Loved Liara’s story arc.
I just got a couple quotes for solar installs on my house in eastern MA. It’s actually way more than $18K, like, double that. The payoff period is long with a lot of upfront costs. They recommend having some sort of like solar score of 65 or more when they evaluate your roof, but at a score of 71 it’s just too…
sometimes restaurants will place the bill in the middle, and that’s fine! My wife and I usually haven’t decided who’s paying yet for the meal at that point. Sometimes though, they put the bill in front of me, my wife takes the little black book, places HER card in it and stands it up next to HER, they take it and run…
I was offended at the omission of cilantro from this list, as both the most flavorful and tastiest of all herbs.
I don’t really drink a lot of milk, I mostly use it for cooking. And when I do buy it, it’s from a local small farm and not an industrial milk conglomerate. But I live in an area where my regular grocery store has it, and the farm where I get my CSA also sells locally produced milk and make their own cheese.
Yet, it still was “run” so haphazardly in Silver because people in silver just suck
Role queue has kind of sucked... I should have clarified that anything that limits my choice further. I don’t love playing DPS, but I liked the other roles. But I play tank like 90% of the time because of the waits for other roles.
They are trying to address things that are not problems. Jeff was right in that the meta is only really a thing at the highest levels because basically below platinum, most people don’t know how to properly execute and coordinate it. Yeah, Symmetra had her moment and Reaper had his moment when they were way over-tuned…
The first StarCraft game was widely considered one of the most balanced games ever made. Can't say much about the there games that fall under SC2.
You only do open, or open-ish concepts with kitchens, dining, and living rooms. It lets in more light and allows for easy flow, and if you’re someone who likes to entertain and have people over, it creates a large space for people to mingle. A lot of smaller homes really benefit from it. The primary con isn’t that you…
Your doctor, unless is a completely independent professional, likely knows little if anything about billing. They will order a test or procedure, and the company they work will bill you some amount that is insane.
Isn’t that more like the COPS show though? Agree, it is awful.
I’d love to actually finish The Witcher... any of them.
I’ll say this, ASOIAF as a book series is very politics focused, and the early seasons of the show were also like this. Remember South Park spoofing the “long walks in the garden to talk strategy and politics” pieces? And while it made headlines for gratuitous violence, nudity, and rape, that wasn’t what made it good…
I would say just raise your prices 3%, most customers wouldn’t notice all that much. You’re trying to make a statement by putting that charge and text on there (either you think your good because you’re giving healthcare to a class of employee that usually doesn’t get it, or your trying to be a dick and highlight how…
The tuna also had a coke problem
I’ve said this before on Lifehacker... but Gizmodo has exposed this asshat as a snake oil salesman. Either they don’t talk to each other or know each other’s work, or this Asprey dude is friends with the VC owners and gets to buy a spot here.
There is a place in Methuen, MA called Thwaites’ that makes a more modern version of these, and they are miniature and they are delicious.
