Yes. There were desirable female bodies that were neither underweight or overweight. The predominant representation of beauty in art is still soft breasts, bottoms, and stomachs with narrow waists. The deviations from this are usually personal style choices.

I agree that here have always been bodies of different weights and heights throughout history. It would be silly to claim otherwise.

Having someone say (fat > thin) is still a body negative statement even if (fat < thin) is the predominant discourse. Your sister is entitled to her own opinion that plus size women are more sexy than straight sized women. It isn’t a definitive truth though.

I think it’s important to remember they likely look bigger than they actually are because she is thin. It’s the same reason different cup/band sizes look different on different bodies.
