I have a family friend (mother’s bridesmaid’s sister that we see her a lot at family cottages) who adopted a daughter successfully with her husband, and it took them five years. They did almost adopt an infant beforehand, but it did not work out. It was really upsetting…

I understand that people want the experience of childbirth and childrearing of an infant from a young age. I do not understand how they can proceed with these treatments without considering the possibility of adoption. Adoption is also an expensive and taxing process that not everybody will be eligible for though.

Eh. I would much rather see a woman breast feeding than hear a screaming baby. The screaming is painful and difficult to ignore without headphones. I would much rather not see a baby in an expensive restaurant, a bar, adult ballet, adult theatre performances, adult concerts, and movies at all.

I live in fear of the day it becomes age appropriate for my friends to get married and have all the babies. Some are engaged, but none married with babies yet.
