So many things I miss about her. Fearless, crazy but in a fun way, put some skill and knowledge behind her posts, was a good teacher and boldly traveled into unexplored culinary corners where others wouldn’t go. Great sense of humor, was not shy about sharing her feelings good or bad. I still make a few of her

Thanks Marnie, I will give this a try—did the browned butter version for a backyard movie night—nice sized rectangles of marshy goodness to balance out all the salty snacks (good movie snack because it isn’t LOUD to eat!) and they were wiped out quick—but I think mine did need some additional texture, perhaps Mini

Buona Pasqua! Your Cassata sounds delicious—we are from the north so we do various sweet breads and other things. Weird she couldn’t tell it was raw, usually obvious when the cake is underdone to that degree?! Poor thing—wanted to say what a good host you were, trying to cheer up your friend and make the best of an

I didn’t hate it, was more curiously amused by the sketches rather than feeling they were hilarious. Glad to see my faves Aidy, Bowen and Melissa getting some choice spots. Felt like Six Flags was some weird dream I had last night, how bizarre! About Lizzo, she was game for whatever, not particularly effective in

Reelgood is also a great recommendation for us Cinephiles as a resource for... others.

AirFryer...Yes, yes, a 1000 times yes! Bread outside is crispy, cheese inside is lava melty and no more of the difficult-difficult-lemon-difficult method of waiting for the cheese to melt inside while not overcooking the outside, using the pan method.

A mere quarter inch thickness, not really...

I was thinking because she wrote ANOTHER after the first minute, she meant an additional minute, rather than minuteS..

Doofus statement—are you 12? Turned it off less than 1/3 of the way in, you really don’t know what it is, or what happened, standard or no.

If you get a chance, I think it is on YouTube, is the episode of Dinner For Five  (Jon Favreau) with Tim Olyphant and David Milch. Just watching Milch tell stories and bounce off the other guests is a blast to watch.

I also appreciate Titus Welliver, another character actor.

Deadwood is brilliant and he is such a clever character actor in the series. When you think there is no bigger scum than that “droop-eyed Sonovabitch” Jack McCall, along comes Mr W.

Dream job was in “EssEff” not Seattle.

I wondered how long it would take for some Rando to come by and make a shitbird comment about a show he never watched but fully hates. Bore Bore Bore.

I have tried it at our local  but strangely it is not really publicized, no special deals and in the middle of the menu as if we are all used to it, sort of an afterthought. You would think in these times there would be promos and deals and ads but...no. Just a small spot in the middle of the menu without any fanfare.

Years ago I became friends with another travel nurse and though I wish I could be pissy and jealous of her looks and ability to attract men, she was a wonderful friend, great nurse, smart sense of humor, and fun to hang with; everyone loved her. Told the story when she and a few other nurses staying in Hawaii walking

I appreciate not relying on old stuff, even thought the bits didn’t all land, but the host carried his weight.  I didn’t count them up but with the sheer number of sketches, new concepts, new characters and pre-taped bits, were pretty impressive, there was one or two also on YouTube—all with Jakey G and he was IN

Walk back and check out some of his lesser known roles. In my younger years working a temp assignment as a nurse in southern Cali, was invited by a friend to a Q&A screening of Box Of Moonlight with Turturro in a wonderful character actor type role along with an unknown Sam Rockwell. What a fun, clever, trip of a

Don’t they have the McPlant?

A few years ago I bought some freshly dried figs, they were delicious and soft but there was a lot. I decided to bake my own Fig Newtons. They were damn delicious! Soft cake texture outside, really flavorful moist fruit filling and I couldn’t keep my hands off them. A little bit of work but great result and nothing
