I think Bard College can shut its doors now that it has fulfilled its cosmic destiny as the unnamed punchline to a joke on Girls.

The gun and break-in hijinks in this episode set up some nice character work in the next few episodes. Intentionally or not, this early part of the storyline also plays like a riff on an early episode of The Golden Girls ("You shot my vase!" - S1E08, The Break In).

Funnily, Eichner (whom I do like) has always seemed to me like the type to have a "whites only sorry just a preference!" Grindr profile.

Grace and Frankie is pleasant enough, but it's nothing compared to Golden Girls and in many ways, it could not exist without Golden Girls as a precursor. I'm sure this is just a throwaway comment meant to praise the review, but singling out Fresh Off the Boat reads wrong to me. Sure, it's basically a TGIF sitcom transplanted to 2015, but I think it has a lot more to offer than yet another show about the interrelations of a group of disaffected white people, however…
