@flawl3ss: I'm still using a 3870 and have no issues running most newer games on ultra settings getting good framerates. I think video cards over the last few years stay relevant longer than people give them credit for.

Although, instead of unplugging drives for mine, I just turned off the sata port for the mac drive in the bios while doing the windows…
