I just get annoyed when I hear people order a Martini without specifying vodka or gin and a vodka drink shows up. I guess I’m oldschool that way.

The Martini is a cocktail made with gin and vermouth, and garnished with an olive or a lemon twist. The cocktail made with vodka needs a different name. Its not a Martini.
