I sort of understand that, although I always felt the “fairy tale” thing around Diana was a totally constructed myth, as she was born into immense wealth and privilege in the first place, being one of the Spencer family (who were closely aligned and moved in the same circles as the royals for generations). The way it

That’s a fair point, actually. I couldn’t even name another country’s Royal without Googling them (although again, perhaps simply indicative of my complete lack of fucks to give). There does seem to be a weird fixation on the British ones, though.

Having grown up in the UK, I’ve hated the royals, and everything associated with them, for as long as I can remember.

Depends how important that is to you, I guess. I’m pretty happy with anything from 60-80 fps, tbh. Most games I play don’t *need* higher (although it’s nice) - single-player more story-driven stuff like GTA, Assassin’s Creed, Control, etc. Or builder-y stuff like Cities: Skylines.

I have my gaming PC hooked into my 55" 4K TV (it sits neatly behind it, and I use a wireless Logitech keyboard+trackpad thing for basic functionality). Most games I play are controller-based, though I do break out a lapdesk and a wireless keyboard/mouse to play something like Cities: Skylines.

Jesus: pro-sex workers, anti tax-collectors.

This is welcome, but also slightly frustrating because I find my eyes struggle and get painful quickly when viewing light-on-dark text (I get a very bad “screen burn” effect on my eyes using many ‘dark mode’ settings on various apps/sites).

I consider myself a fairly rational person, and I’m interested in this movie because it’s got so much potential to be a hugely entertaining car crash of a spectacle in terms of everything from the actual content of the movie itself to the inevitable ensuing social media war around it.

Steven Yeun was amazing in Burning (and if you’ve not seen it, see it asap - it’s on par with Parasite imo and I felt at the time it was shamefully overlooked in awards season), so I’m excited about Minari.

Any sort of update/news on the EA Play side of things for PC Game Pass?

They didn’t say when they wrote it. Could have been one of the first to extensively write about it, for all we know! ;)

They do, but they’re only for emergency procedures generally. I’ve been a few times to have some of the remaining stumps ripped out when things have gone too far.

I’m from the UK, and I’ve considered it in the past, but it’s still beyond me financially (I struggle to come up with rent on a monthly basis, if I’m being honest) and it would need a LOT of work to bring them to a reasonable standard, so probably wouldn’t be able to get the time away from work needed either. Plus now

Leaving aside what he did or didn’t do, taking 20+ posts on Twitter to explain it is an abomination unto Nuggan.

My teeth are sadly an absolute shambles - I got jumped when I was 16 and beaten badly with a baseball bat, so I’ve basically got a bunch of cracked stumps which have just progressively fallen to bits over the years. I’m almost 40 now and I absolutely hate what’s left of my teeth as people likely assume I’m just really

The cartoon versions of Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music back in the day were great, imo.

My biggest problem with the casting was taking Sybill and changing her from an older, larger woman (whose personality REVOLVED around those aspects of her character) into young, pretty Batwoman, effectively.

My biggest problem* with the Good Omens adaptation is that while Crowley and Azraphale were done *superbly* by Tennant and Sheen, every other part of the book they brought to the screen felt unbelievably limp. It’s clear where the focus was, and fair enough, but to turn “Them” into cardboard (where Adam and the gang

Has anyone successfully had a refund via GOG? I applied for one and I got an almost immediate respond asking if I’d accept store credit, and I replied to say I’d like it via the original payment method, and I’ve heard nothing since, and that was three days ago. Just curious.
