Ive herd that if you cover the alarm it will go off due to lack of oxygen. Is this true? I’m living the dorm life and smoking isnt the problem. It is vaping that concerns me. let me know what you think. thanks

Since you have so much prior experience I thought this question would be a good one for you. If I do need to cover my alarm (Hard Wired EST smoke alarm in a college dorm) will it be set off if oxygen is cut from the detector? Say I place a shower cap and rubber band over it.
