8:30 am ET: “Who is your favorite ex-Jalopnik writer?”
Thanks for making the post that Rory should have made. I really do hope you right the ship!
Pro tip - on Chrome you don’t have to delete your whole history... You can just delete the suggestion from the auto dropdown that appears and then go on with your life:
Say, that looks like an interesting read!
Sounds like a potential automotive eutopia, if you will.
Better yet:
Somewhere, deep within the steel and concrete labyrinth that is Troy Michigan’s Zoning and Housing annex (Inspections and Enforcement wing), a grizzled man slumps into his chair. Tracy, D. - case file TM - 18-22/JP-Fe2-O3 had meant so... so damn much to him.
I saw the SR-71 in the title pic so I clicked... I feel cheated.
I’m hereby creating the slang word “fitler” to mean a stubborn oil filter, someone who over-tightens an oil filter, or the act of over-tightening an oil filter.
e.g.:
1. Dude, this thing won’t budge. It’s being a fitler.
2. Looks like the previous owner was a fitler. This thing won’t budge.
3. Dude, the lube shop guy…
This is the only real answer.
I have a good understanding of S-N curves. But practically speaking, they're not relevant in a discussion about drivers anticipating failures.
It’s the bare minimum you can do to prevent other drivers from causing accidents because they are not paying attention.
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve caught a fatigue crack on my 8 hour pre-grocery store drive 500-point inspection in my honda civic. I do it every time I go anywhere, it’s only an extra days labor to any chore.
Can we just please be done with mask mandates?
Oh, you’ve met my wife...
This seems pretty obvious to me. The plane dies. He jumps out, dives for a while. Looks up. Plane above. He’s not happy with his footage so he waits for it to swing back around, climbs back in and then starts the engine, climbs back up , re-packs the chute, and does it over again. Maybe 3 or 4 times because this…
This. Always blows my mind how far the “this tastes horrible... here you try it” mentality goes.
The fines and whatever other expenses will be trumped by the monetization, which Jalopnik helps at is says, “ugh look at this fraud...here’s a link to his video which will help the monetization of aforementioned fraud”
If it’s all the same to you, I’m not going to watch his video. I don’t want to add to his clicks.
